How long am I required to rent?

All rental agreements are month-to-month starting on the first day of your rental period. If you occupy your unit on the first day of any rental period, you are legally responsible for paying for the entire period. You can vacate the unit at any time, but you are still accountable for the full rent for the entire rental period. We do not pro-rate payments if you vacate before the rental period ends.

How do I cancel the unit and move out?

If you wish to vacate your unit and move out, you must email us within 7 days of your planned move-out date. To properly vacate the unit, you must remove ALL items and sweep the space. Once you have vacated, take a photo of the empty rental and the unit number, then email it to twalter@storageplususa.com. Your move-out will be processed in the system. Failure to remove ALL items will result in additional monthly charges. Your rental agreement stays active until EVERY item is completely removed from your unit.

How do I pay my storage bill?

There are many ways to pay your storage bill. 1) The easiest method is to put a credit card on file and select auto pay. This will automatically charge your card on the due date. 2) You can pay online by visiting www.storehousefindlay.com, or 3) Call us at 419-423-0604, and one of our representatives will take your payment over the phone. If you need to arrange an alternative payment method, please contact us by email at twalter@storageplususa.com.

What is a drive-up storage unit?

A drive-up storage unit lets you drive your vehicle directly to the space and unload your items easily. Many customers prefer drive-up options because they only need to move their items a few feet, from their vehicle into the storage unit, instead of carrying items hundreds of feet from their car to a traditional storage space.

Can I store my boat or RV?

We have a limited number of larger rentals that will accommodate a boat or RV. We do not offer outside parking at this time.

Is your parking on cement or gravel?

Our parking lot is a paved asphalt parking lot.

How do I pick my storage unit size?

Picking a size can be tricky, depending on the items you are storing. When you visit our website at www.storehousefindlay.com, we provide a size guide to help you select the ideal unit for your needs. If you have any additional questions, our phone representatives are available to provide further guidance.

Can I rent storage online?

Absolutely, renting online at www.storehousefindlay.com is the easiest and most convenient way to rent a storage unit. Select your space from the available inventory online, enter your information, sign your contract, and pay your rent. All of these items can be handled online.

Do I need tenant storage insurance?

The Store House is not responsible for the loss or damage to your goods, for any reason whatsoever, while they are in storage. For this reason, we ask that all occupants have some form of insurance or a protection plan. Therefore, we offer, for a small additional charge, a tenant protection plan. In the event you need to file a claim, there is no deductible.

If you do not wish to purchase our protection plan, you may provide proof of your own homeowner’s or renter’s insurance; however, these policies often have a $500 or $ 1,000 deductible for smaller claims and may lead to your insurance company canceling your policy. This is why we encourage occupants to purchase our protection plan.

How much does self storage cost?

The price varies depending on the size of the unit and the amenities you select. Our standard hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If you need 24-hour access, we can offer that for an additional fee. In Ohio, self storage is subject to sales tax.

Do you rent moving trucks?

What is the difference between office, access, and gate hours?

We have a representative available 24/7 to assist you as needed. Gate hours are generally from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, but are subject to change. If you require 24-hour access, it is available for an additional fee.

What security measures are in place?

For security, we provide a well-lit facility and security cameras on the property. There is a gate system that requires occupants to enter their gate code to access the facility. Once inside, occupants will have a lock to secure their individual storage unit. We also limit overnight access hours to ensure the security of all occupants at the facility.

How long does it take to move in online?

This facility does not have dollies or moving equipment. Since it is a drive-up location, you can park within a few feet of your rented space. This eliminates the need for pushcarts or other moving tools.

Can I rent a unit for my dorm furniture between semesters?

Yes, but all rentals are on a monthly basis. If you move out during the month, you are still responsible for paying the remaining balance of your rental agreement.

Do I need to bring my own storage lock?

What items am I not allowed to store?

Please refer to your rental agreement for a list of items that are not permitted to be stored. Generally, hazardous materials or flammable items are not permitted in the unit. You cannot store chemicals or paint. Food or other perishable items are not to be stored. Living animals or carcasses are also not allowed. The storage unit must not be used for residential purposes.

When can I move in?

Moving in is simple. You can settle in right after signing your rental agreement and paying the first month’s rent. To make a reservation, we will hold the unit for up to 14 days.

What are the storage access hours?

Regular access hours are from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week, 365 days a year. If you need 24-hour access, please contact our management office by email or phone, and we will assist with that request.
